Pastoralist Livelihoods Initiative, Phase II

This request for application (RFA) is for a four year Cooperative Agreement designed to support pastoralist areas livelihoods and pastoral policy development in the lowland areas of Somali Region, Oromia and Afar in Ethiopia.

The Agreement will be awarded to an implementing partner or corsortia


of partners.

The Goal of this Pastoralist Livelihoods Initiative - Phase II is to improve sustanable livelihoods in Pastorlist areas, and is intended to build upon experiences and contribute toward sustainable development goals.

It will support efforts to attain maximum value added from livestock production and sales, livelihoods diversification, and support the development of pastoralist institutions/organizations and pastoralist livelihoods.

It will also provide best practice early response to livelihoods protection in an emergency in the porgram areas, through a "crisis modifier".
