Enhancing HIV Mobilization among Organizations Serving Gay, Bisexual and other Men Who Have Sex with Men

The purpose of the cooperative agreement is to provide an opportunity for organizations to build upon their existing infrastructure, influence, and activities to prioritize and enhance HIV prevention among gay, bisexual, and other MSM they serve.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
This request is for the continuation of the existing FOA PS12-1211 currently funded by CDC.

The eligible applicants currently funded under the FOA include: • AIDS United • The Center for Black Equity Gay, Bisexual, and other Men who have sex with men (MSM) represents approximately 2% of the United States population, yet are the population most severely affected by HIV.

In 2010, young MSM (aged 13-23 years) account for 72% of new infections among all persons aged 13-24, and 30% of new infections among all MSM.

At the end of 2010, an estimated 489,121 (56%) persons living with an HIV diagnosis in the United States were MSM.
