Agence Nationale des parcs Nationaux Cooperative Agreement

There is no application process for this grant.

This is a notice of intent to satisfy requirements of 505 DM 2. The Division of International Conservation intends to enter into an agreement with Agence Nationale des Parcs Nationaux (ANPN), the Gabon National Parks Agency.

ANPN is a

unique parastatal agency granted financial and technical independence by the Gabonese law that created it.

ANPN is charged with transforming Gabon’s national parks network into a global model for protected areas management.

This charge includes stimulating the development of a tourism industry, and combining sustainable development and conservation.

ANPN also leads research and capacity building efforts in Gabon’s 13 national parks and their buffer zones.

ANPN's special role in government puts it in the best position to conserve Gabon’s wildlife heritage and to become a premier African parks agency within five years.

ANPN is best poised to respond to immediate wildlife threats, including poaching and the impacts of extractive industries in national parks and their surrounding buffer zones.

ANPN will build their institutional capacity to improve national park and buffer zone management in Gabon.

In the world of social enterprises, failure is a cringe-worthy moment nobody wants to talk about. But, social entrepreneurs can benefit from their failures.
