Connectivity Collaborative (collaborative).

The Commission is best positioned to conduct this process as they provided strategic leadership and facilitate the activities of the collaborative.

Current priorities include investigating the real-world utility of using existing decision support tools to guide the selection of on-the-ground connectivity projects, communications support for successfully sharing the identity and work of the Collaborative with a broader audience, and filling knowledge/data gaps for improved goal setting, tool development, and decision making.

This relates to previously supported projects by the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes Landscape Conservation Cooperative (UMGL LCC) titled, ⿿Optimizing connectivity in the Great Lakes basin to restore native fish migrations while controlling invasive species⿝ as well as aquatic connectivity decision support tools developed by the Great Lakes Basin Fish Habitat Partnership, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, and the Great Lakes Commission.
