Conservation Service.

Its mission is to sustain, restore and protect fish, wildlife and habitat in the Great Lakes basin by leveraging funding, building conservation capacity, and focusing partners and resources toward key ecological issues.

This is a notice of intent to award a single source grant to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation without competition under justification 505DM 2. 1 4. B.4 for administration of the Sustain Our Great Lakes Program, as described above.

The agreement is part of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative (GLRI) and is supported by GLRI FY 2018 funding allocated to the Service by the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency - Great Lakes National Program Office.

Competition for the award is not practical due to a congressionally formalized relationship between the Service and NFWF, region-specific grant-making expertise, and prior leadership with the Sustain Our Great Lakes program for more than eight years, NFWF is the one uniquely qualified partner able to administer the Sustain Our Great Lakes Program.
