Cooperative Agreement for CESU-affiliated Partner with Great Lakes – Northern Forest Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit

The USGS Great Lakes Science Center (GLSC) is offering a funding opportunity for a CESU partner to participate in a collaborative team effort to study lake trout reproductive health as it relates to thiamine deficiency syndrome across the Great Lakes Basin.

Lake trout are the focus of restoration/management


plans in Lakes Michigan, Huron, Erie, Ontario, and Champlain (http://www.glfc.org/) which indicate the effects of dietary thiaminase on egg and larval survival as potential or substantial impediments to the establishment of a self-sustaining populations.
