Flex Rural Veterans Health Access Program

The purpose of this grant program is to provide mental health services and other services to veterans and other residents of rural areas.

HRSA / ORHP will award grants to States that submit applications for increasing the delivery of mental health services or other health care services deemed

necessary to meet the needs of veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom living in rural census tracks, including for the provision of crisis intervention services and the detection of post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury, and other signature injuries of veterans of Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom, and for referral of such veterans to medical facilities operated by the Department of Veterans Affairs, and for the delivery of such services to other residents of such rural areas.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Eligibility is open to public and non-profit organizations for this procurement which will provide assistance to Critical Access and small rural hospitals across the country as they adapt to continuing changes in the health care delivery system.

Eligibility is limited to entities designated by the Governor of States with certified critical access hospitals.
