BLM-CO, Upper Animas Mine Safety Closure and Mine Characterization.

To continue to partner with the recipient, Colorado Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (CDRMS) to safeguard and poCDRMS will use the funding in conjunction with BLM to develop and implement a strategy for safeguarding each abandoned mine site as well as for the physical closure of each opening.



All closure projects need to be surveyed and cleared for cultural and biological resources.

This Assistance Agreement may be used to fund the needed surveys and written reports.tentially remediate abandoned mine openings on public land.
