Fragile X Pre-mutation and Ovarian Function (R03)

-Purpose.

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA), issued by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development, National Institutes of Health, solicits Small Research Grant (R03) applications from institutions/organizations that propose basic, clinical or translational research


on the effects of the Fragile X pre-mutation on ovarian function, with a focus on premature ovarian failure or early menopause, in women and/or animal models.

-Mechanism of Support.

This FOA will utilize the NIH Small Research Grant (R03) award mechanism and runs in parallel with an FOA of identical scientific scope, PA-07-219 that solicits applications under the R01 mechanism.

-The R03 grant mechanism supports different types of projects including pilot and feasibility studies; secondary analysis of existing data; small, self-contained research projects; development of research methodology; and development of new research technology.
