Battle Creek Salmon and Steelhead Restoration Project

The Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) intends to issue a modification to Cooperative Agreement R10AC20073 to the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) for continued work.

The Catalog for Domestic Assistance (CFDA) is 1 5. 512, Central Valley Project Improvement Act, Public Law 102-575,

credit: Fast Co Exist

Section 3406(b)(1).

Estimated amount:
$1,126,44 5. 0 0. The construction of the fish screens and ladders at two sites on the North Fork of Battle Creek (Eagle Canyon and North Battle Creek Feeder diversion dams) is essentially complete; however, a number of items/features did not work out as planned and changes/additions are needed.

Follow up work will require more design effort by DWR, as well as two or more new construction contracts.

The additional work will be accomplished by revising the existing scope of objectives to the agreement so it captures all the needed work and addresses problems with the constructed facilities.

(Refer to the Notice of Intent to Award Announcement No.

R12AS20035 for additional information.) A Determination by the Government not to compete this proposed financial assistance based upon Departmental Manual 505 DM 2, paragraph 2. 14(B)(2) & (4) is solely within the discretion of the Government.

This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals.
