Bethel to Use Grant Funding to Demolish Abandoned Homes

Bethel village in Clermont County will take advantage of a grant to demolish abandoned and foreclosed homes in the area.


This plan is in part of the Moving Ohio Forward grant program which was created by Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine in February 2012. According to Dan Tierney, spokesman for the attorney-general, DeWine chose to get rid of area decay caused by abandoned houses. Bethel hopes to capitalize on it and has applied for $500,000 in grants for the project.
