Fairfield Elementary School Garners State Grant to Start First Class Pre-K Program

C.J. Donald Elementary School gleans $120,000 from the State of Alabama Department of Education to kick start a pre-kindergarten program for the 2013-2014 academic year.


The grant is one of the 93 grants distributed throughout Alabama. The program at the school will be part of Alabama's First Class program, which is overseen by the state Office of School Readiness. It will serve 18 students who will be 4 years of age on or before the first of September.
