Melbourne to Receive Grant, City Council Supports CCTV Network Expansion

Melbourne City Council will vote in support of accepting a $250,000 state grant for the expansion of the CCTV network throughout the city.


The grant is expected to pay for nine new cameras at six locations to make Melbourne citizens feel safer and secure on the streets. There are 54 cameras presently installed in the city with an annual cost of $850,000.
