Parkersburg Police Receives Partial State Grant

Parkersburg Police Department earned only partial state funding of $20,000 for one of its two high school Prevention Resource Officers.


The state grant, however, doesn't consider things like longevity pay. The positions, with benefits, can range in cost from around $34,000 for a starting officer to more than $50,000 for a veteran officer.
