Guidance for Supplemental CDC/NCCDPHP/BRFSS Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) CDC-RFA-DP15-15130201SUPPPPHF16 Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS)

The Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System (BRFSS) is the primary source of state-specific surveillance information about health risk behaviors and health status among the states’ resident population.

BRFSS is a state-based system of random digit-dialing telephone and mixed-mode health

credit:


surveys that target non-institutionalized adults, ages 18 years and older.

CDC will work with awardees to develop and implement jurisdiction-specific evaluation plans and ensure accurate evaluation and performance measurement reporting.

CDC will also track how health department staff use BRFSS data for determining use of BRFSS data outcomes and measures.
