Project to Increase Municipal Collective Action to Address Child Labor and Forced Labor in Mexico

The Bureau of International Labor Affairs (ILAB), U. S. Department of Labor (DOL, or the Department), announces the availability of approximately $4,000,000 total costs (subject to the availability of Federal funds) for one cooperative agreement to fund a technical assistance project in support of Mexican

Labor Law and the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) with the objective to increase locally-led actions to collectively address child labor and forced labor in targeted municipalities in Mexico.

The project will work in one (1) state from each of the following groups:
Group1 - Puebla, San Luis Potosí, Tabasco, Campeche; and Group 2 - Chiapas, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Yucatán, Quintana Roo.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Any commercial, international, educational, or non-profit organization(s), including any faith-based, community-based, or public international organization(s) capable of successfully implementing a project to increase locally-led actions to collectively address child labor and forced labor in targeted municipalities in Mexico is eligible to apply.

Lack of past experience with USDOL cooperative agreements, grants, or contracts does not bar eligibility.

All applicants for ILAB funding opportunities must have a Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) number and be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) prior to applying for funding.
