FY08 Elkhart Rail Line Relocation

The roadway surface will be widened from two lanes to four lanes at railroad crossing 522663Y, rail mile post KH- 0. 21, (NS project 0 5. 1604) located approximately 225? south of State Street and approximately 350? north of Middlebury Street.

At this location, Prairie Street crosses both the

credit:


Elkhart and Western Railroad Siding and the Norfolk Southern Main.

Because of this surface widening, crossing 522663Y will be upgraded with safety improvements that include new railroad warning devises.
