Veteran Trades Apprenticeship Program

This program will provide challenging training opportunities through collaborative, immersive apprentice-style experiences in working alongside NPS employees on the completion of historic preservation deferred maintenance projects throughout the NPS system.

This training will be accomplished by

placing participants in the carefully supervised environments of active maintenance projects to assist in their completion.

Throughout the program, participants will also be exposed to opportunities to engage with NPS personnel and receive classroom-style safety and skills training.

The skills and knowledge gained by participants through this program are applicable for careers in infrastructure maintenance and engineering, and resource and facility management, both within the Federal government and private sector.
