Making Health Care Safer in Ambulatory Care Settings and Long-term Care Facilities (R18)

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality's (AHRQ) mission is to produce evidence to make health care safer, of higher quality, more accessible, equitable, and affordable, and to work within the U. S. Department of Health and Human Services and with other partners to make sure that the evidence

is understood and used.

AHRQ's Center for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety (CQuIPS) works to ensure patient safety in multiple settings with recent efforts to increase the development of processes including measures, metrics, tools and practices to increase patient safety in the ambulatory care setting and in long-term care facilities.
