Request for Information - Civil Society and Media Strengthening in El Salvador
This USAID/El Salvador Request for Information (RFI) is issued for the purpose of providing academia, industry and stakeholders an opportunity to comment, suggest, and enhance areas related to civil society and media strengthening in El Salvador.
As appropriate, USAID/El Salvador will incorporate
responses to this RFI into the development of future activity designs that may lead to a formal solicitation or announcement.This RFI is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP) or Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO).
Responses to this RFI shall not be portrayed as proposals or applications, and will not be accepted by the U. S. Government (USG) to form a binding agreement.
This RFI is not to be construed as a commitment by the USG to issue any solicitation or ultimately award of a contract/agreement on the basis of this RFI, or to pay for any information submitted as a result of this request.
Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI.

*Who May Submit Proposals: Proposals may only be submitted by the following: - (For all submissions) One or more Institutions of Higher Education (IHEs) (two- and four-year IHEs, including community colleges) accredited in, and having a campus located in the U.S.; consortia of such institutions; or U. S. nonprofit organizations (e.g., nonprofit research institutions, research museums) offering a teacher education or residency program.
(In addition to the above, for Track 4: Noyce Research submissions only) Professional societies or similar organizations that are directly associated with educational or research activities.
*Who May Serve as PI: <ul> <li>For Track 1: S&S, Track 2: TF, and Track 3: MTF, the PI team must include at least one faculty member from a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics department and at least one education faculty member from an education department at a participating or partnering U. S. institution of higher education.</li> <li>For Track 4: Noyce Research, the PI team must include at least one individual with expertise and experience in STEM education research and at least one individual with an advanced degree in a STEM or STEM education discipline.</li> <li>For Capacity Building, there are no restrictions on who may serve on the PI team.</li> </ul>
