Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Epidemiology and Laboratory Capacity for Infectious Diseases (ELC) Building and Strengthening Epidemiology, Laboratory and Health Information Systems Capacity in State and Local Health Departments

The purpose of this Affordable Care Act funding for ELC is to enhance public health programs to improve health and help restrain the rate of growth of health care costs through building epidemiology, laboratory, and health information systems capacity in state and local public health departments.

This FOA provides second budget period continuation with enhancement of ELC-ACA awards initiated in 2010 under FOA# CI10-1012.
