In Fiscal Year 2010, the total amount of funds distributed under NSGP will be $19,000,00 0. Each nonprofit organization may apply through their SAA for up to a $75,000 grant award.

Fiscal Year 2010 NSGP funds will be allocated to high-risk nonprofit organizations, as described under

credit:


section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, Title 26 of the U.S.C., and exempt from tax under section 501(a) of such Code.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
The Governor of each State and territory is required to designate a State Administrative Agency (SAA) to apply for and administer the funds awarded under NSGP.

The SAA is the only entity eligible to apply to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for NSGP funds on behalf of nonprofit organizations that are at high risk of terrorist attack and are located within one of the specific FY 2010 Urban Areas Security Initiative (UASI) eligible Urban Areas.
