The Office of Pesticide Programs (OPP) is soliciting proposals from eligible parties for an Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) cooperative agreement to provide financial assistance to an eligible organization to provide education, training, resources, and technical assistance to increase Integrated

Pest Management (IPM) implementation in kindergarten to 12th grade (K-12) public and tribal schools nationwide.

IPM is a sustainable approach to managing pests that combines biological, cultural, physical, and chemical tools in a way that minimizes economic, health, and environmental risks.

The grantee will conduct a national program, using their existing organizational structure and established relationships with school districts throughout the US, to further IPM adoption by schools.

EPA encourages projects that utilize consortia, partnerships, and other collaborative means of conducting the project.

However, the project must not propose to engage pest management firms as primary collaborators.

The grantee may utilize existing EPA approved school IPM educational materials.

Proposed projects must conform to applicable state and/or tribal pesticide requirements and regulations.
