to States, U. S. Territories, and the District of Columbia to reduce the number and severity of crashes and hazardous material incidents involving commercial motor vehicles (CMVs).

Additional Information of Eligibility:
States, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, American Samoa, Guam, and the U. S. Virgin Islands are eligible to receive Basic grants.

Specifically, the State lead agency designated by the Governor for administering the CVSP is eligible to apply for Basic and Incentive grant funding.

Neither individuals nor businesses are eligible for awards.
