Student Conservation Internship for Heritage Area Program

This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award a task agreement under a previously competed or single source justified master cooperative agreement.

Specifically, SCA will:


1. Assist with recruitment and selection for the Intern position of National Heritage Areas Program Communications Coordinator.

2. Provide a travel allowance for the Intern while living within commuting distance of their duty station, a housing allowance during their internship, and provide subsistence for the Intern during their tour of duty.

3. Coordinate with NPS to oversee, direct and take corrective measures including but not limited to issues of conduct for the Intern provide to the NPS 4. Maintain administrative records for the Intern.

5. Provide administrative support for the intern while participating in the program.

6. Provide a cost share of 25% of the total cost of the project as the required match to NPS funds provided under this task agreement.

7. Provide uniform for the Intern.

8. Provide travel costs for the Intern while on duty (for site visits such as NHAs, parks, etc.).
