3796gg- 7. The goal of the Disability Grant Program is to create sustainable change within and between organizations that results in increased capacity to respond to individuals with disabilities and Deaf individuals who are victims of sexual assault,

domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking and to hold perpetrators of such crimes accountable.

Disability Grant Program funds will be used to establish and strengthen multidisciplinary collaborative relationships; increase organizational capacity to provide accessible, safe, and effective services to individuals with disabilities and Deaf individuals who are victims of violence and abuse; and identify needs within the grantee’s organization and/or service area, and develop a plan to address those identified needs that builds a strong foundation for future work.

Additional Information of Eligibility:
Applicants are limited to dental schools and programs, that were described in 777(b)(4)(B) as such section was in effect on the day before the date of the enactment of the Health Professions Partnerships Education Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-392) [“postdoctoral dental education program means a program sponsored by a school of dentistry, a hospital, or a public or private institution that offers postdoctoral training in the specialties of dentistry, advanced education in general dentistry, or a dental general practice residency”].

In addition, dental hygiene programs that are accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation are also eligible.
