Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit are partnerships that provide research, technical assistance, and education.

Continuation:
- The activity to be funded is necessary to the satisfactory completion of, or is a continuation of an activity presently being funded, and for which competition would have a significant adverse effect on the continuity or completion of the activity.

This project will establish a team comprised of a National Park Service (NPS) statistician, a park program manager, and a University of Alaska atmospheric chemist to analyze over 30 years of air quality monitoring data from Denali National Park and Preserve.

The resulting report will give a park-specific and region-specific interpretation of air quality trends over the first three decades of monitoring in Denali.

The environmental specialist manages the Denali NP&P air quality monitoring program, will provide overall project management to ensure that analytical strategies are relevant.

The NPS statistician will design and conduct all statistical analyses, with programmatic guidance from the other two team members.

The UAF atmospheric chemist will interpret the results and place them into a local and regional air quality context.

The team will work together through all stages of the analytical process, and will work cooperatively to produce the final report.

The principal investigator will be the lead author of the final report.
