Botanical Gardens Receive State Grant

The Botanical Gardens in Des Moines will receive a grant totaling almost $1 million for improvements to the gardens located along the Des Moines River.


A nonprofit group will be assuming the botanical center's lease and will oversee the plans for new garden features, such as an improved cafe. They will also be improving the garden's parking lot.
