Tennessee's Department of Transportation awarded McMinn Co. Train Depot with a grant totaling $156,800 for the repair of its train depot.


According to Niota Mayor Lois Preece, the city noticed that the soil surrounding the depot's foundation is shifting. And also, there is dripping water from the drainage system of the depot which causes deterioration of the structure's mortar.
