Plan to Apply for a $2 Million State Grant Approved for Dr. F.E. Wright Drive Improvements

The Jackson City Council recently approved a funding request to widen Dr. F.E. Wright Drive.


The grant request is for a state Local Interstate Connector Route grant which would cover the cost of $2 million toward the nearly $8 million road project. The construction for the road will commence in 2015-16, but planning and submitting proposals for grants is done earlier for these projects.
