Health Education Center Guides Residents with Insurance Enrollment

Southwest Louisiana Area Health Education Center (SWLAHEC) is helping residents understand and enroll in the Affordable Care Act.


SWLAHEC got a state grant on behalf of four Area Health Education Centers. Louisiana received $1.7 million to set up navigators throughout the state. SWLAHEC is currently handling community outreach and setting up presentations open to anyone interested in more information about the health insurance plans in the Louisiana Insurance Marketplace.
