Pittsburg City Reaps State Grant for New Trail

Pittsburg officials announced that the city has received a state Transportation Enhancement grant as part of the $17.9 million given to 35 projects throughout Kansas.


The funding aims to provide assistance to various historical, environmental and pedestrian/bicycle trail projects. For Pittsburgh, the funds will go to the creation of a new hike and bike trail. Nearly $730,000 in grants has been allocated for the city's bike trail project.
