Victoria County Receives State Grant to Purchase Tasers

Victoria County earns a $30,516 grant from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program to get tasers, electric shock weapons, and new equipment to promote officer safety.


Courtroom deputies and city patrol officers were given the taser cartridges for public and personal safety. The grant is an annual allotment the county has received since the last three years.
