The attempts of the FHWA are meticulously guided by its collective agency mission, which is to "improve mobility on our Nation's highways through national leadership, innovation, and program delivery."
In line with this mission, the Federal Highway Administration has recently established the Enhancing Awareness of Transportation and Transportation Careers Program wherein it seeks to solicit applications from eligible entities who have the desire to utilize the advances in technology in the noble process of informing and teaching middle school, high school and community college students and faculties regarding transportation and transportation careers.
Initially, the FHWA has created the Enhancing Awareness of Transportation and Transportation Careers Program to address their concerns regarding transportation workforce development. They consistently hoping that through this program, certain public and private transportation workforce can subsequently help them design, develop, implement, and manage new and efficient highway management strategies.
In order to do this, the FHWA is aware that they will first need a skilled and knowledgeable workforce. In fact, they know in their heart that have a competent and efficient team is critical in the success of their current and future programs.
