It's work is greatly focused on providing support to field health programs, research and innovations in areas relevant to the overall agency health objectives, specifically addressing concerns regarding emerging global health issues.
The US Agency for International Development: Bureau of Global Health has recently announced a funding opportunity amounting to $200,000,000 in order to support the Food and Nutrition Technical Assistance (FANTA III) project.
The FANTA III project aims to provide technical assistance that will contribute to its project objectives, which are mainly focused on food and security health policies, and the development of programs and systems to improve the nation's nutritional strength.
Moreover, the FANTA III project also envisions to serve as a primary mechanism in the provision of high quality, efficient, and effective technical assistance that would hopefully advance USAID's efforts to encourage evidence-based nutrition interventions geared towards strengthening food security and health programs.
To make this happen, the USAID Bureau of Global Health plans to enter into a 5-year cooperative agreement with eligible applicants through the FANTA III project.
