Stimulating Energy Efficiency Action from State Public Utility Commissions

The Department of Energy (DOE) National Energy Technology Laboratory (NETL), on behalf of the Office of Electricity Delivery and Energy Reliability (OE), is seeking applications to advance policies, programs, and market strategies that accelerate job creation and reduce energy bills while achieving energy


and climate security for the nation.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) provides assistance, on a competitive basis, to public utility commissions or the equivalent state regulator agency (PUCs) for the development of an energy efficiency resource goal and the policies and programs needed to implement that goal.

Specifically, this FOA focuses on Stimulating Energy Efficiency Action that will assist PUCs in generating the necessary policy and program frameworks to support investment in cost-effective energy efficiency for the long-term.
