Build a Community-Based Conservation Network in the Chesapeake Bay

THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS.

This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance for the following project activities:This project consists of three components:
A.

Identification and engagement

of key community partners for interviews to assess how the networks have evolved over the last decade and develop a baseline understanding of current network strengths, challenges, and opportunities.

B.

Convening of the networks’ partners to share a summary of findings from the interviews and initiate processes for enhancing strategies for outdoor recreation, tourism, community economic development, conservation, stewardship and public engagement.C.

Facilitate development of a strategic plan for the next decade of the Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network to advance community-led outdoor recreation, tourism, economic development, conservation, stewardship and engagement.
