A $151,743 Grant Will Give Three Columbia County Municipalities Own Public Defenders

Columbia County Public Defender Robert Linville has acquired a $151,743 grant from the New York State Office of Indigent Legal Services that will provide three Columbia County municipalities a public defender for over a three-year period.


The grant will also enable the recruitment of a part-time clerk to manage the program. A public defender will be on call for the city of Hudson and the towns of Livingston and Greenport.

Rivaayat is an initiative by Shri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi to revive various dying art form and solve innumerable problems faced by the artisans. Rivaayat began with reviving a 20,000-year-old art form of pottery that is a means of survival for 600 families residing in Uttam Nagar, Delhi.
