Alvin Community College receives state grant funds

Alvin Community College has been awarded a state grant in the amount of $923,000 from the Texas Workforce Commission. The grant will be used to obtain new equipment including a semi-truck, digital x-ray machine, welding simulators, dental equipment, machine shop equipment and more. The objective of the grant is to expand more services to students and the items bought will benefit several programs such as Welding, Truck Driving, Dental Assistant and Radiology Technician.
