Schuylkill County to Use $500,000 Grant for Empire Renovation

Agency - Office of the Budget Redevelopment Assistance Capital Grant Program

Schuylkill County commissioners have approved the taking of the former Empire Beauty School. The old Empire building will undergo renovation and a state funding is needed to cover the costs of the upkeep.


A $500,000 state grant is awarded to the county and came from the Office of the Budget's Redevelopment Assistance Capital Grant Program.
