State Grant to Recruit More School Resource Officers

Smyth County will receive a state grant to get two more school resource officers to foster a secure and safe campus environment in the school district.


Governor Bob McDonnell announces that cities and counties in Virginia will get school resource officers deployed to where none are currently assigned. The grants were approved by the Criminal Justice Services Board.
