The Suwannee River Water Management District Receives a Grant

Agency - Department of Environmental Protection

The Department of Environmental Protection of Florida awarded the Suwannee River Water Management District with a $900,000 grant to fund water quality and quantity improvements in the Santa Fe River Basin and associated springs.


The funding will be used to work with area farmers to prevent more than 1 milion punds of nitrogen annually from entering the river and springs and save 670 million gallons of water per year.
