Agency - Department of CommerceThe Department of Commerce in Washington awarded Sound Transit with an energy efficiency grant totaling $400,000.
The grant will be used to fund various projects whichwill include new lighting at the Federal Way, Auburn and Kent transit centers. These projects will help the agency save over $80,000 in annual utility and operations costs, and leverage an additional $175,000 in utility rebates.
