Asotin County Coordinator Gets Head Nod to Apply for State Grant

Cheryl Sonnen, Asotin County Regional Stormwater Coordinator, obtained a go-ahead from the county commissioners to apply for a state grant.

The grant will be used to finance a decant waste facility. According to Sonnen, the empty facility would be used for waste management such as street sweepings, which should dry up prior to being thrown into the landfill. The facility would comprise a drain-provisioned concrete slab, a water hydrant and an oil-water separator.
