The U.S Small Business Administration supports both the Small Business Development Center Program and SCORE to provide management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. These programs offer one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in central and easily accessible branch locations.

While the federal government does not provide grants for starting or growing small businesses, it does provide a myriad of services to assist entrepreneurs in pursuit of their dreams. The National Institutes of Health has recently established the Behavioral Interventions to Address Multiple Chronic Health Conditions in Primary Care Program wherein it intends to utilize common conceptual models in creating independent interventions that will contribute to the modification of health behaviors and the improvement of health outcomes in patients diagnosed with co-morbid chronic diseases and health conditions.

The National Institutes of Health has formed a partnership with the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering (NIBIB) to establish the Advanced Neural Prosthetics Research and Development Program.
