The U.S Small Business Administration supports both the Small Business Development Center Program and SCORE to provide management assistance to current and prospective small business owners. These programs offer one-stop assistance to individuals and small businesses by providing a wide variety of information and guidance in central and easily accessible branch locations.

While the federal government does not provide grants for starting or growing small businesses, it does provide a myriad of services to assist entrepreneurs in pursuit of their dreams. The Federal Highway Administration has recently established the Enhancing Awareness of Transportation and Transportation Careers Program wherein it seeks to solicit applications from eligible entities who have the desire to utilize the advances in technology in the noble process of informing and teaching middle school, high school and community college students and faculties regarding transportation and transportation careers.
Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program
The Connecticut Housing Finance Agency has been administering the Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Homeownership Program wherein they intend to offer home loans at reasonable, below-market rates to Section 8 tenants who wish to purchase a home of their own.
