State Grant to Help Artists Remain in Arts District

Agency - National Endowment of the Arts

The City of Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs accepted a $75,000 state grant from the National Endowment of the Arts for the development of a pilot program in the Arts District that will help familiarize artists on how to hunt for affordable housing in the area.


The grant will also get to touch base with developers and connect them to artists as prospective future tenants. According to Councilman José Huizar, this project will help permanently keep artists in the Arts District.
