CDFI Awards for Hawai"i Maoli

Hawai"i Maoli is a subsidiary of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs (AHCC). AHCC was started in 1918 by Prince Jonah Kuhio Kalanianaole as a grassroots organization to benefit Native Hawaiians. Hawai"i Maoli is being awarded a Native American CDFI Development grant in the amount of $65,000 to assist them in developing a CDFI to serve the membership of the 50 Hawaiian Civic Clubs and the larger Native Hawaiian population. The grant will assist the Awardee to obtain training on developing a CDFI, underwriting and on board operations; and to hire consultants to help with the development of a market analysis, conduct a needs analysis, develop a strategic plan, and develop initial policies and procedures.
