Independent Employers Group Federal Credit Union (IEGFCU) is a low-income designated credit union established in 1948 initially to serve an employee group. IEFCU expanded its field of membership in 2004 to include the underserved community made up of 13 census tracts in northern Hawaii county, on the island of Hawaii. IEFCU provides a full range of accounts and loan products including auto and mortgage loans as well as web-based development services such as on-line savings coaching.

IEFCU will use the Technical Assistance award to hire a new Outreach and Marketing Coordinator, conduct a market survey to assess its product offerings, purchase computers for use by staff and customers, upgrade ATM services, and provide training to staff members.
