The Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe is a federally-recognized Indian Tribe in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. Its mission is to promote the public health, education and charity for the social advancement of the members of the Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe. The Tribe plans to establish a CDFI that will provide loans to small businesses operating on or in proximity to the Lake Traverse reservation.

The Fund"s Technical Assistance grant of $50,000 will be used for consulting services to develop a market analysis, marketing plan, a staff development plan, and a capitalization plan, and to develop lending and underwriting policies and procedures.
